Official Rules
1. General. By participating in the Vegas Baby Handicapped
Game/Series (“HGS”), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by
the decisions of Vegas Baby Bowling (“VBB”), which shall be binding and final
as to all matters related to HGS. HGS is subject to all applicable federal,
state, and local laws and is void where prohibited. HGS is a multi-facility
game.
2.
HGS Game
Play. HGS is a skills game. A bowler
purchases a HGS card and writes their 1st game score, 2nd
game score, 3rd game score, and series score on their HGS card.
3. Prize. 1st, 2nd, 3rd , and 4th place in each game and series will
be paid out in the following fashion. A maximum
of 40% of all game sales per game/series will be awarded to 1st
place. A maximum of 30% of all game
sales per game/series will be awarded to 2nd place. A maximum of 20% of all game sales per
game/series will be awarded to 3rd place. A maximum of 10% of all game sales per
game/series will be awarded to 4th place.
4. Net
Proceeds. All
proceeds of HGS will benefit the VBB league. Net proceeds from each game will
be allocated to the end of season tournament.
5. Eligibility. HGS is only open to permanent members of a
VBB team. Substitutes are not eligible to participate in HGS. All persons must be age eighteen (18) and
older and subject to these Official Rules. The averages used for the HGS is the
bowler’s tournament average to ensure fairness. Only bowler’s who’s
tournament average is below 190 may participate in the HGS.
6. Purchasing HGS
Tickets. All HGS
tickets may be purchased as follows: Only one (1) HGS ticket may be purchased
per entrant. One (1) HGS ticket may be purchased for $5.00. There are no discounts or complimentary HGS
tickets. HGS tickets will be available for purchase in-person at the (“Bowling
Alley”). HGS tickets will be sold from the start of warm up/practice through
the conclusion of the warm up/practice. VBB
shall be the sole judge of the validity and eligibility of all entries. All HGS tickets purchases shall be final, and
no refunds or replacements will be issued by VBB. HGS tickets are only valid
for the game held on the date of purchase.
7. HGS Tickets are
Not Tax Deductible. The IRS has
taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles,
lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the
entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
8. Taxes. Each winner shall be responsible for all
travel, costs, federal, state, and local income or excise taxes, fees,
assessments and like charges associated with a prize.
9. Prize Claim.
You do not have to be present to win. All prize money will be given as casino cash
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
10. Odds. The odds of winning HGS depend on the number
of HGS cards purchased for the game and the bowler’s ability to perform the
task.
11. Transfer of HGS
cards or Prize. Persons who
receive HGS cards may not opt to give away their HGS card. Receivers of HGS
cards may not re-sell their HGS cards to other parties and may not knowingly
give HGS cards away to others to allowing those other parties to re-sell such HGS
cards. All HGS cards which have been
resold are in violation of these Official Rules and shall be void. All individuals who re-sell, purchase, or
receive HGS cards in violation of these Official Rules shall be ineligible to
participate in the HGS or to win a prize. A winner may transfer his/her prize to a third
party provided that the following conditions are met: (a) the transferee would
have otherwise been eligible to enter HGS (age eighteen (18) or older); (b) the
transferee shall be responsible for all taxes and costs described in these
Official Rules; and (c) the transferee shall be bound by all terms and
conditions of these Official Rules that are applicable to the winner.
12. Judges. The HGS will be conducted and supervised by
VBB, whose decisions are final. VBB
reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time. VBB reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to cancel or suspend the HGS should unauthorized human intervention
or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or
proper operation of the BB.
13. Release of
Liability. By entering
the HGS, all entrants agree to: (a) be bound by these Official Rules; and (b)
release VBB from all liability with respect to any injury, damage or loss that
may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation
in the HGS, or from any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any
prize.
14. Publicity
Release. Each winner,
by accepting a prize, grants VBB and its designees and affiliates, including
the bowling alley, full permission, except where legally prohibited, to use
such winner’s name, address (city and state only), photograph, voice and/or
other likeness, and prize information for advertising, trade, and promotional
purposes without further compensation and without notice, review, or approval,
in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and in perpetuity.
Each winner shall execute all documents that VBB may require to be signed
regarding this release. Should a winner elect to not have their picture taken
or refuses for their likeness to be used in all media the winner shall forfeit
the prize.
15. Governing
Law. The HGS and
these Official Rules shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State
of Arizona. If a court of competent authority finds that any provision of these
Official Rules, or their application to a persons or circumstances, is invalid
or unenforceable to any extent, then the remainder of these Official Rules
shall remain enforceable fully permitted by law. The venue for any cause of action arising out
of the HGS or these Official Rules shall be in Maricopa County, Arizona.
