Team Tournament of Champions

Official Rules

1.      General. By participating in the Vegas Baby Team Tournament of Champions (“TTOC”), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Vegas Baby Bowling (“VBB”), which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the TTOC. TTOC is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.

2.      Eligibility. The TTOC is open to league member’s age eighteen (18) and older and subject to these Official Rules. Unestablished substitutes may not participate in the weekly TTOC. Teams fielding a unestablished substitute are ineligible for the weekly TTOC.

3.      TTOC Costs. TTOC is free to league bowlers.

4.      Prize. The prize for winning the weekly TTOC will be an opportunity to participate in the end of season TTOC in Las Vegas. Only the permanent bowlers who participated in the TTOC at the end of the season tournament may receive the prize. If your bowling fees are compensated by the house, the management or VBB you are not eligible for the prize. The end of season TTOC prize is 50% off of the next season’s weekly fees.

5.      Taxes. Each winner shall be responsible for any and all travel, costs, federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with a prize.

6.      TTOC game play. The TTOC is a weekly bracket, played out in team head to head competition. Each week the team’s total pins with handicap will determine who advances into the first round of the bracket. The top 16 teams (scratch series score + handicap) will be in the bracket. You may only be in one bracket at a time. Once teams are eliminated from a bracket they will compete the following week for an opportunity to earn a spot in the new bracket. Each week a new bracket will begin, giving the teams the maximum opportunity to compete against other teams. There will be a maximum of 16 bracket winners participating in the TTOC in Las Vegas, Nevada.

7.      Determining a Winner. Entry into the TTOC is determined by the team who advances and ultimately wins the team head to head bracket. A team may win multiple brackets thus increasing the number of opportunities in Las Vegas. If a winner of a bracket withdraws from the Las Vegas tournament prior to the tournament’s start, the team eliminated because of the victor will be entered into the TTOC in Las Vegas. Every effort will be made to prevent a Vacant from being in the TTOC tournament both locally and in Las Vegas. Certain circumstances may allow for a Vacant to be a part of the tournament. If that should happen, a participant will be required to bowl their tournament average +1 pin to advance beyond the Vacant. Tying the Vacant will result in a loss to the Vacant.

8.      Averages. A bowler’s current average is used in the weekly TTOC. In Las Vegas, your TA (tournament average) will be used. Your TA is your Book Average (BA), your 12-game average (12A), your 21-game average (21A), your 42-game average (42A) or your current average, whichever is higher.

9.      Ties. In the event of a tie in the first round, the second rounds data will break the tie. A tie in the second round will be broken by the third-round data. A tie in the finals will be resolved by total pins with handicap. In the event of a tie in total pins including handicap a one frame roll-off will commence until the tie is broken.

10.  Prize Claim.  TTOC credits will be issued after the end of season TTOC Championship. TTOC champions will have 2 seasons to redeem the prize or it will be forfeited. Prizes may be redeemed individually or as a team.

11.  Odds. The odds of winning the TTOC depend on the bowler’s ability to perform.

12.  Transfer of Prize. A winner may not transfer his/her prize to a third party

13.  Judges. The TTOC will be conducted and supervised by VBB, whose decisions are final. VBB reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time. VBB reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the TTOC should unauthorized human intervention or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the TTOC.

14.  Release of Liability. By entering into the TTOC, all entrants agree to: (a) be bound by these Official Rules; and (b) release VBB from any and all liability with respect to any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the TTOC, or from any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any prize.

15.  Publicity Release. Each winner, by accepting a prize, grants VBB and its designees and affiliates, including the bowling alley, full permission, except where legally prohibited, to use such winner’s name, address (city and state only), photograph, voice and/or other likeness, and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation and without notice, review or approval, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and in perpetuity. Each winner shall execute all documents that VBB may require to be signed in connection with this release.

16.  Governing Law. The TTOC and these Official Rules shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. If a court of competent jurisdiction finds that any provision of these Official Rules, or their application to a particular persons or circumstances, is invalid or unenforceable to any extent, then the remainder of these Official Rules shall remain enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
